Amonix Achieves World Record for PV Module Efficiency in Test at NREL
April 25, 2013 – Amonix Inc. announced today that it has successfully converted more than 36% of direct sunlight into electricity. A module showcasing Amonix's latest-generation CPV technology has been in outdoor testing from late February to April of this year. During this period, the Amonix module demonstrated a peak operating efficiency of 36.2% measured on March 14, 2013 with a DNI of 876 W/m2, an ambient temperature of 16°C and instantaneous wind speed of 1 m/s, breaking the previous 34.2% peak efficiency set by Amonix in May 2012. -

Bouygues Construction Wins a €38 Million Contract for PV Power Plants in Thailand
25/04/2013 - Bouygues Thai and Bouygues Energies & Services, two subsidiaries of Bouygues Construction, have signed a contract worth around $50 million (approx. €38 million) for the design, construction and maintenance of three photovoltaic power plants in the Tak and Sukhothai provinces of north-east Thailand for Soleq Solar Thailand, a solar energy producer. -

Real Goods Solar to Power 18 Stockton School Buildings with Solar
April 24, 2013 — RGS Energy, the commercial and utility division of Real Goods Solar, Inc, and Smart Energy Capital (SEC), will provide Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) with 5.1 megawatts (MW) of solar power that will bring clean energy to 18 SUSD schools and facilities in California. The solar installations are expected to save the district $600,000 in the first year, which will directly benefit school programs and services district wide. -

REC Publishes First Quarter 2013 Results
April 24, 2013: Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (REC) reported first quarter 2013 revenues of NOK 1,278 million and EBITDA of NOK 46 million. EBIT was negative NOK 159 million. REC's cash position improved by NOK 0.1 billion to NOK 2.0 billion.
