Standard Solar Completes 1.8MW Solar Project in New Mexico

Amtech To Acquire BTU International
Amtech Systems, Inc. and BTU International, Inc. today announced that the companies have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Amtech will acquire all the outstanding stock of BTU in an all-stock transaction. BTU stockholders will receive 0.3291 shares of Amtech common stock for every share of BTU common stock and will own approximately 23.9% of the combined company. The combined company will own an attractive and diverse portfolio of technology solutions and products and generated pro forma revenues of $94.7 million based on the results for the twelve month period ended June 30, 2014 and June 29, 2014 for Amtech and BTU, respectively.

Sunpreme Demonstrates the World's First 500W Bifacial Double Glass Module
Sunpreme announced that it has demonstrated the world's first Bifacial double glass module with a measured STC output of 503W. With a 15% bifacial power boost, the effective panel wattage can be enhanced to 575W with an effective module efficiency of 22.2%. A second performance bonus comes from a record low thermal coefficient of module efficiency of 0.28%/C. The product is designed to achieve an unsurpassed BOS (Balance of System) cost reduction for distributed power generation applications.

SPI Solar Announces EPC Agreements for 100MW Solar PV Projects in China
SPI Solar today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Xinyu Xinwei New Energy Co., Ltd. has signed EPC agreements for 100MW of solar PV projects in Julu County, Hebei Province, China. The three separate agreements call for the development of two rooftop sites (consisting of 50MW and 30MW, respectively) for ecological agricultural farm rooftop installations, as well as a distributed grid ("DG") project (consisting of 20MW).
