SolarWorld Announces Preliminary Business Results for Q3 2016
In Q3 2016, SolarWorld AG increased groupwide shipments in a difficult market situation by 5 percent versus previous year's quarter to 345 (Q3 2015: 328) megawatts. In the first three quarters 2016, SolarWorld raised its shipments by 31 percent to 1,027 (Q1-Q3 2015: 784) megawatts. -

Geco Wins 1MW Rooftop Contract from Xi'an Longji
Geco Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. has received a new order from Xian Longji Clean Energy for a 1.029MW rooftop project. The project developer is Guangdong Lerri Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Longji, located in Huizhou, Guangdong. It uses Lerri 270Wp mono solar modules attached to Geco's hot-dip galvanized steel mounting structures on 12 rooftops of various layouts. -

Green Street Solar Power Begins Construction on 4.1MW Solar Installation in Massachusetts
Green Street Solar Power has begun construction on a 4.1-megawatt high efficiency PV system in West Bridgewater. The system will be used to offset the electric bills for the entire public school system in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Green Street Solar Power plans to own and operate the system long term. -

SolarCity and Balfour Beatty Communities Near Completion of 6.9MW of Solar at Air Force Family Housing
Balfour Beatty Communities and SolarCity are nearing completion of approximately 7 megawatts of solar at Air Force family housing in four states. The rooftop solar panels are installed across the residential communities managed by Balfour Beatty Communities at Travis Air Force Base (AFB), in California; Sheppard AFB in Texas; Tyndall AFB in Florida; and Luke AFB in Arizona. Together the installations utilize more than 26,000 solar panels to provide power to more than two thousand housing units. -

KACO New Energy to Supply 2.5MW of Inverter Capacity to Hungary
KACO new energy has signed off on a deal to supply 2.5MW of inverter capacity to Hungary. The order has been placed with the German photovoltaic specialist by Hungarian EPC and distributor Szalontai. The two companies signed the agreement for 50 inverters of type blueplanet 50.0 TL3 INT at the beginning of October. The units are already waiting to be shipped: the solar power systems they are designated for are planned to be finished by the end of January 2017. -

Invenergy Announces Proposal for Long Island's 700MW Renewable Energy Project
Invenergy today announced a large renewable project proposal for Long Island. The project, Clean Energy Link, consists of four new wind and two new solar farms located within the 12-state PJM regional power market, with a combined capacity exceeding 700 megawatts. All the renewable energy from these projects will be joined into a single portfolio and delivered to Long Island from PJM via a new buried HVDC transmission line, ending at a net-zero converter station on Long Island.
