SunPower currently offers its high-efficiency solar power systems to purchasers of new homes in more than 150KB Home communities; this new pilot program expands the partnership and demonstrates this new technology's ability to store solar power generated during the day for use during power outages.

First Wind Announces Agreement with Rocky Mountain Power for 320MW Solar Project in Utah
June 19, 2014 - First Wind today announced that it has finalized four 20-year power purchase agreements with Rocky Mountain Power. Rocky Mountain Power will buy the output of the planned 320MW "Four Brothers" solar development. Rocky Mountain Power's purchase is made in connection with its obligation under the federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, or PURPA, and follows seven similar PURPA agreements for First Wind's 20MW "Seven Sisters" projects. These four solar projects will be located at sites in Beaver and Iron Counties.

BayWa r.e. Completes 4.9MW Solar Farm in UK
June 20, 2014 - The 4.9MW solar farm is situated near Bodmin in Cornwall and covers an area of just under ten hectares. A neighbouring company buys the power, which is delivered via a direct supply line. The sustainably produced energy therefore directly benefits the local economy. Average annual power generation is around 5.13 million kWh, saving approx. 3,400 tonnes of CO2 per year. BayWa r.e. installed 18,810 polycrystalline modules and 150 string inverters for the plant.

Q CELLS and Martifer Solar Team Up in 30MW Module Supply
June 19, 2014 – Hanwha Q CELLS today announced the supply of more than 42,000 modules of its Q.PRO-G3 series for an 11MW solar farm in South of France. Hanwha Q CELLS has teamed up with Martifer Solar for the project.
