August 18, 2014 - Eco Energy World has enjoyed a summer surge in energy production after connecting five solar PV projects with a combined output of 70MW in quick succession.

The renewable energy developer's solar projects, situated in Essex, Devon and Wiltshire, all began operating in the past few weeks. The solar PV projects range in size from 9MW to 15MW and will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 22,000 homes each year, delivering a combined CO2 saving of more than 31,000 tonnes per annum. Eco Energy World's five recently-connected solar projects are made up of three 15MW projects – Highfields Farm in Essex, Castle Eaton Farm in Swindon, and Pitworthy Farm in Devon – a 13MW development at Spriggs Farm in Essex and a 9.6MW project at High Penn Farm in Wiltshire.

Svante Kumlin, Chairman at Eco Energy World, which operates from offices in London, Monaco and Moscow, said: "We are pleased to have connected these five sites to the National Grid on schedule. Our UK development team's success in taking these projects to completion comes through our commitment to best practice; identifying the right sites and ensuring that we apply the highest level of care and standards throughout the planning and construction stages. These developments will make a significant contribution to helping the UK meet its renewable energy targets and also help us achieve our goal of developing 200MW in the UK this year."
