July 15, 2013 – Enel Green Power has connected to the network its first photovoltaic plants in Romania. The two plants, Berceni 1 and Berceni 2, are located in Prahova county and have a combined installed capacity of around 19MW. The operating plants will be able to generate up to an approximate 29 million KWh per year.

The Berceni 1 plant has an installed capacity of around 10MW. The operating facility is able to produce around 15 million KWh per year, corresponding to the annual energy needs of more than 7,500 households, thereby avoiding the emission of over 6,800 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.

The Berceni 2 plant has an installed capacity of around 9MW. The operating facility is able to produce more than 14 million KWh per year, corresponding to the energy needs of more than 6,500 households, thereby avoiding the emission of over 6,500 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.

Berceni 1 and Berceni 2 are the first photovoltaic plants of Enel Green Power in Romania.
