Sonnedix has acquired three solar PV plants in the Bordeaux area, south west France, increasing its country capacity by a further 31.8MW.

The three PV plants acquired, located adjacent to each other, are Bourg d'Hourtin (11.1MW), La Redoune (12.0MW) and Gartiou (8.7MW). The ground-mounted plants were built by BayWa r.e. in 2017. These acquisitions expand Sonnedix's operating capacity to 189MW in France and more than 750MW worldwide.

"Our pace of growth in Europe is being mirrored in the Americas and Japan, as we develop, build and acquire assets across our platform," commented Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. "Our continual optimization process means all the assets quickly achieve operational excellence."

Sonnedix was advised in the acquisition by Linklaters (Legal & Tax) and Wood (Technical).
