Neoen was named as a winner of the third Mexican call for tenders with its 377MWc solar PV project in the state of Aguascalientes, due to be connected to the grid in June 2020.

America Manager, explains that "the continuing fall in the price of renewable energy in Mexico is a sign of the success of energy reform in its ability to attract investments and ultimately reduce the price of electricity for all Mexicans. At a time when world CO2 emissions are once more on the up, these prices are also encouraging news for the climate and are proof of Mexico's leading role in this field."

Xavier Barbaro, Neoen CEO, adds: "This project bolsters our presence in Latin America. With over 750MW of projects built or granted, it is our third largest development area after EMEA and Australia. It also confirms that Neoen's work on the ground and its long-term strategy enable us to achieve record competitiveness. Our aim is to reproduce this approach in all the countries that we operate in."
